Centre School of Public Health and Health Management as a department of Faculty of Medicine at University of Belgrade was founded within the framework of the project “Aid to Serbia Public Health Development” which was financed by the European Union in 2014.

The School is engaged in education for academic specialization in the field of health care, permanent improvement of knowledge in public health (CME summer schools and courses), scientific research work and provision of counselling services to individuals and institutions.

The School employs the staffs that assist institutions and individuals in formulating policies, planning, organization, management and financing of the health care system. Apart from that, School of Public Health and Health Management can help the health services with a continuous improvement of the quality of work and assessment of health technologies, as well as the analysis and definition of policies whose goal is improvement of the health status of the local communities.

School of Public Health and Health Management cooperates with regional network of schools of public health established within the framework of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe and the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER).

School of Public Health and Health Management administers the mentoring component of the Roma Scholarship Program of the Fund for an Open Society of Serbia within the framework of the Roma Health Program.
