Kragujevac: Report on the Results of the 4-year-long Program Implementation Roma Health Scholarship Program

Roma Health Scholarship Program is implemented by Roma Education Fund in cooperation with Fund for an Open Society Serbia and Fund for an Open Society Hungary under Roma Health Program with a view to affect the deficiency in Roma health care professionals.

During the past 4 years, Roma Health Scholarship Program supported Roma students pursuing a university degree in medicine, stomatology and pharmacy, a degree at high schools for applied studies and secondary vocational schools.

Press conference will come up with the results of the 4-year-long program implementation, importance of support to the education program and provision of better living conditions to the Roma national minority.

As of 2013, there will be no new scholarship beneficiaries. The competition was closed at the end of May 2013. It was explicitly dedicated to the current beneficiaries who can re-apply for the next academic year and scholarship renewal.

Funds for Roma Health Scholarship Program are made available by the Roma Education Fund from Budapest. Fund for an Open Society from Budapest provide funds for mentorship and media component as well as for the advocacy training component.
