In the scope of a series of trainings for RHSP (Roma Health Scholarship Program) scholarship recipients, as a follow-up activity of the Advocacy School organized by the Association of Roma Students from Novi Sad, the forum for collectors of secondary raw materials from the Roma settlement Veliki rit will takes place in the premises of the Local Community “Slana bara” (54, Čenejska Street) on Wednesday, 28 March 2012, at 13.00 h.
The forum theme is “Protection at Work and Health of Collectors of Secondary Raw Materials”. In addition to the Roma students - RHSP scholarship recipients, Prof. Dr. Bulimia Novaković from the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad and Dr Milka Budakov from the Community Health Centre Novi Sad will take part in the forum.
The Forum is implemented as small-scale project of a group of RHSP scholarship recipients from Novi Sad who recognized health improvement of the collectors of secondary raw materials as the Roma priority health issue in Novi Sad.
During the forum, RHSP scholarship recipients will dispense protective gloves and masks for the collectors as well as hygiene kits for protection against infectious diseases.
