Mentorship support for Roma scholarship beneficiaries who are studying for healthcare professions

On the occasion of completion of this year project Mentorship support for Roma scholarship beneficiaries who are studying for healthcare professions, a meeting of Roma scholarship beneficiaries and their mentors was held in the Dean’s Office of the School of Medicine in Belgrade. This is the sixth year of implementation of the mentoring component of the Roma Health Scholarship Program. In his brief introductory speech Dr Janko Jankovic, Assistant Professor at the School of Medicine and Project Manager, spoke of the great results of their this year work. In the 2014/2015 academic year, 13 students at 3 Universities received mentorship support. He particularly emphasized the participation of Roma scholarship beneficiaries in international conferences.
Scholarship beneficiaries Damir Bahtijarevic, Tamara Savu and Sladjana Muratovic participated in the 8th European Public Health Conference in Milan, while Roma student Damir Bahtijarevic also took part in the first regional workshop Capacity Building for Sustainable Health Care Programs in South-Eastern Europe.
